About Tourism

I. Tourism
       Tourism means travel. Thus, tourism can be interpreted as a full trip, namely departing from a place, heading to and stopping at one or several places, and returning to it's original place of origin. Tourism may be International or within traveller's country. People intend to do tourism for business trip or  vacations. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourism#Definitions

      A. Foreign Tourist
            A tourist who take a tourist trip who come to another country, which is not their own            country.
      B. Domestic Tourist
            A tourist who travels in the country itself or in the area where he lives.
      C. Domestic Foreign Tourist
            A foreign tourists who reside in a country (not the country of origin), and take a tour           in the country where he was at that time.
      D. Transit Tourist 
            A tourist who is traveling to a certain area. Whether it's using ships, airplanes,                     or other vehicles, and making stops like at ports / airports and not on your own.
      E. Indigenous Foreign Tourist
            A person who has resided in a country that is not a country of origin and has                       worked, then gets a research assignment or gets an outside assignment, then                       travels to his place of origin.
      F. Business Tourist 
           A person who travels, whether foreign or domestic tourists who travel for a tourist                destination to a place. And will continue the next trip after the tourist destination is                  complete.

      Hotels are companies that provide paid accommodation for the short term. The facilities provided can range from simple quality mattresses in small rooms to large suites with larger, high-quality beds, cabinets, refrigerators, and other kitchen facilities, upholstered chairs, flat screen televisions, and en-suite bathrooms.

       The type of hotel is based on its location, including the following:

  • City Hotels or city hotels are hotels located in urban areas, usually this hotel is intended for people who aim to stay temporarily or live within a short period of time, city hotels are often referred to as transit hotels because they are often inhabited by business people.
  • Residential Hotels are hotels located in urban suburbs far from the crowds, but it is quite easy to reach various places of business activities. Residential hotels are usually located in quiet areas because they are intended for people who want to stay for a relatively long period of time.
  • Resort Hotels are hotels located in mountainous areas or on the shores of the beach and others. This resort hotel is intended for people who want to stay or rest on holidays and for those who want to travel.
  • Motel is an abbreviation of Motor Hotel whose location is on the outskirts or along a highway that connects one city with another big city or with other locations, it can also be on the edge of the highway close to the big city limits. The motel is intended for a temporary resting place for people who travel far enough by using private vehicles or public transportation. Krena that the motel always provides a garage for private vehicles.
  • Beach Hotel, a hotel located near the beach.
  • Mountain Hotel is a hotel located in a mountainous area.
  • Bandara Hotel is a hotel near the main airport.

       Hotels are based on a room rate setting system, including the following:
  • Full American Plan (FAP), is a type of hotel that uses a system where the price of the room includes 3 meals.
  • Modified American Plan (MAP), is a hotel that uses a system where the price of the room includes 2 meals.
  • European Plan (EP), is a hotel that uses a system where room rates do not include meals.
  • Continental Plan (CP), is a hotel that uses a system where the price of the room includes breakfast, this system is still often used because it is profitable.

      Hotels based on types or types of guests, including the following:

  • Family hotel, is a hotel whose guests stay mostly consist of families.
  • The business hotel is a hotel whose guests are mostly people who are doing business or business activities.
  • Hotel Transit, is a hotel that most of the guests are people who will continue the journey far enough (this hotel is only for a temporary stopover when traveling).
  • Tourist hotel, is a hotel that guests are tourists.
  • Cure Hotel, is a hotel where most of its guests are for medical purposes.
       The hotel is based on the how long guests staying, including the following:
  •  Transient hotel, is a hotel where most of the guests stay for only 1 to 2 nights.
  •  Residential hotels, are hotels where most of the guests are on average for a relatively long period of time, such as more than 1 week.
  • Semi residential hotel, is a hotel where most of the guests stay on average more than 2 nights up to 1 week or more.
       Hotels based on the rates, including the following:
  • Economy hotel, is a hotel with fairly cheap rates.
  • First Class hotel, is a hotel with moderate rates.
  • Deluxe hotels, are hotels with expensive rates.
       Hotels are based on the length of time in a year, including the following:
  • Seasonal hotels, are hotels that are opened only for a certain time of the year (such as 3 months, 6 months and 9 months).
  • Year round hote, is a hotel that opens throughout the year.
        Accommodation is one of the basic needs for any tourism activity. Travelers and tourists need lodging for rest, while they are on a tour. Accommodation in the form of low budget lodges/hotels to world class luxury hotels is available at all the major tourist destinations to provide the tourist a home away from home. These are establishments that provide a place for the tourist to stay i.e. lodging facilities which are paid for the duration of the stay by the tourist. There are various types of accommodation which are being used by tourists regularly. Travel agents and tour operators generally include one of the following types of accommodation in the itinerary.
